Synopsis.

Unaware of the tie that binds them, the descendents of two lovers murdered in 16th century Sicily by the woman’s cruel and powerful husband fall in love three centuries later. As Garibaldi attempts to make Sicily a part of the newly independent Italy, the current Baroness, Donna Laura, and her lover Luca Corbara gradually uncover the brutal secrets of the past.
